Artists have always been important spokespersons for the times and places in which they lived. They have expressed the most important philosophical, political, and ethical issues of their culture. I began my education by drawing and painting images of models in studios. But I eventually took the next step. I came out of the studio, looked around at what was happening in my world, and found inspiration there. Thus, my work is an ongoing record of the most important and interesting issues and ideals I see in the fast-paced world of contemporary culture.
